Staff Accountant

Quantity: 4

Job Description:
– Prepares, examines, and reconciles Human Resources accounting records to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
– Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including the preparation of estimates and accruals.
– Develops, maintains, and analyzes budgets, prepares periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
– Assists in the compilation of various financial reports, account reconciliations, and special projects as needed including journal entries.
– Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
– Follows up with departments on information requests.
– Performs monthly analysis and projections on the general fund operating budget.
– Assists with drafting proposals as needed for various projects related to budget functions.
Your Skills and Experience:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
– Ability to work independently as well as partner with others.
– Strong organizational time management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines.
– Attention to detail and accuracy.
– Ability to work through complex problems.
– Knowledge of accepted accounting, economic and auditing practices and principles.
– Judgment and problem-solving skills
Other Skills:
– Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accounting or related fields.
– Experience: Not required (having work experience will be of your advantage).
